Successfully Won the Bid for the EPC General Contract Project of Thermal Power and Energy Storage Joint Primary Frequency Modulation

Recently, Xi'an Hex Rong New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. has successfully won the bid for the EPC General Contract Project of Guoneng Pingluo Thermal Power and Energy Storage Joint Primary Frequency Modulation, relying on its strong technical strength and rich project experience. This project marks a major breakthrough for the company in the field of energy storage frequency modulation in the new power system, and also provides a demonstration solution for promoting the in-depth integration of the flexibility of thermal power units and the stability of the power grid.
As the proportion of new energy installed capacity continues to increase, issues related to power grid frequency stability have become increasingly prominent. The primary frequency modulation capability of thermal power units is directly tied to the safe and stable operation of the power grid. As a key power supply point in Ningxia, Guoneng Pingluo Power Generation Co., Ltd. has actively responded to the requirements of the "Two Detailed Rules" issued by the National Energy Administration. It aims to significantly enhance the unit's primary frequency modulation performance, reduce assessed electricity volume, and strengthen the power grid's auxiliary service capabilities by introducing a supercapacitor energy storage system.
This project will construct a 4MW/4min supercapacitor energy storage frequency modulation system, which will operate in conjunction with the 2×660MW units of Pingluo Power Plant to achieve coordinated control of primary frequency modulation. The target is to increase the qualification rate of the unit's primary frequency modulation to over 80%. This also marks that Hex Rong New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. possesses the capabilities of EPC project design, construction, and integration.
